Eagle employees donate items for care packages benefitting the local senior community
Over thirty years ago, VISTE (Volunteers in Service to the Elderly) was formed with the vision to help those in the elderly community remain independent and safe in their own homes. They are supported primarily by volunteers and provide various services including transportation, personal care boxes, food boxes, and hot meals. They also provide Thanksgiving meals and even birthday acknowledgements to seniors in Lakeland, Bartow, Mulberry, and Ft. Meade, Florida.
With all of the good they do in our community, we were very happy to choose them as one of the recipients of our Denim for a Difference initiative. The money raised by Eagle staff was used to purchase items for the personal care boxes.
